PRINCESS DIANA CONCERT ANNOUNCED
A celebrity concert celebrating British royal DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES has been officially announced by her sons PRINCE WILLIAM and PRINCE HARRY. The princes, who are organising the concert, have revealed the event will go ahead next year (01JULY07) at London's Wembley Stadium - 10 years after she was killed in a car crash in Paris - on what would have been her 46th birthday. SIR ELTON JOHN, DURAN DURAN, JOSS STONE, BRYAN FERRY and PHARRELL WILLIAMS will perform at the event, with more artists to be confirmed. There will also be a memorial service on the day. Prince William says, "We (Prince Harry) both wanted to put our stamp on it. We want it to represent exactly what our mother would have wanted. "So therefore the church service alone isn't enough. We wanted to have this big concert full of energy, full of the sort of fun and happiness, which I know she would have wanted." Sir Elton John, who performed his song CANDLE IN THE WIND at Diana's funeral, says, "I applaud Princes William and Harry for choosing to honour their mother with this concert. I am absolutely thrilled to be performing at this great event. "Diana was a personal friend and someone I greatly admired for her tireless and enthusiastic work for charity." No offenses, but what is the big deal with UK?
Pharrell Williams has announced details of another UK gig in December.The N*E*R*D and Neptunes super-producer star will now play four shows as part of a brief festive tour..
The new date takes place at the Birmingham Academy, following gigs in Manchester, Glasgow and London.
Pharrell's tour now calls at:

Pharrell features on the new Gwen Stefani album, "The Sweet Escape", and is also reported to be working with Britney Spears on her comeback.
Pharrell Williams Has Big Plans
U.S. rapper and producer Pharrell Williams, a sci-fi fan and skateboarder, is planning to open an ice cream parlor in Manhattan next year.
In an interview with the New York Post, Williams talked about his plans, saying he considers the work he does as his way of giving back to the community. As a black skateboarder, Williams said he's presenting the media with something unconventional, thus breaking stereotypes.
This week, Williams is releasing "Team Ice Cream Vol. 1 Skate Video," which features footage of his skate team's world tour. Next, Williams told the Post, he wants to work on a book about all his custom gold jewelry.
As for the ice cream shop, Williams said he plans to open it in April.
Williams, who said he never gets the chance to skate anymore, told the Post he became interested in the sport when his dad's best friend, a surfer, got him his first skateboard

BEYONCE, PHARRELL MAY ROCK PRINCESS DIANA TRIBUTE: Artists among those considered by Princes William and Harry for July 1 concert.
*Beyonce and Pharrell Williams are rumored to be on a shortlist of artists chosen by Prince William and Prince Harry to perform at a charity concert in London next year to mark the 10th anniversary of the death of their mother, Princess Diana.
Other artists reportedly in consideration include Madonna, The Killers, Kylie Minogue, George Michael and Elton John. The concert is scheduled to take place at the new Wembley Stadium on July 1.
Pharrell and Prince William first met each other in July at The Audi Polo charity tournament. At the time, Pharrell hinted that a big charity project was in the works between the two of them. He told MTV-UK: “We had a chat and talked about some interesting things, but I can't get into it because it's business and the paperwork isn't done yet.”
In other Pharrell news, the producer is defending himself against skateboard enthusiasts who question the authenticity of his self-imposed nickname “Skateboard P.”
Apparently, t-shirts were printed last year that read: “Pharrell Can’t Skate.” Some fans of the sport also accused him of exploiting the industry to increase his street cred.
Pharrell tells the New York Post that his new moniker was meant to shine a light on the sport, not misuse it.
“I never said I was going to skate,” he says. “I can't see why anyone would ever be mad at me for helping to push the door open for everybody else. It really influenced a big part of my life, just like music did.
"I learned jazz progressions in band, and I gave entirely back to that world. I go and speak in high school, colleges - Oxford once, Harvard twice. It's not a new thing for me to give back. I just give back in every way shape and form."

PHARRELL WILLIAMS HITS BACK AT SKATE CRITICS
Hip-hop producer PHARRELL WILLIAMS has hit back at his critics in the skateboarding world, accusing them of being ungrateful for the publicity he has given the extreme sport. Williams, who has produced hits for the likes of JAY-Z, JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE and GWEN STEFANI, regularly refers to himself as Skateboy P, and also has a skate-inspired fashion line called Ice Cream.
